Growing up in an Orthodox
Jewish home and getting saved
at 18 years of age, in 1976, has given Henry a different appreciation
for the
Jewish roots of the Gospel.
Rom
1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for
salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew
first and also to the Greek.
"In order to know the word of God
you must know its
culture, language, history, idioms, etc."
I have noticed that there are many
in the “church” who are
unable to articulate the Gospel effectively apart from cliche. This is
because
we are looking at the Gospel through the experience of our own culture
not the
culture of Yeshua Himself. We need to know the prophesies and holidays
which
spoke of Yeshua and His mission before He came. This will give us needed
insight to His life, mission and teachings. This puts meat on the bones
of our
theology.
2Ti
2:15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who
does not
need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.
"I will come to your congregation
and share with them
Biblical truths from this perspective."
Henry was ordained a Messianic
Rabbi, by the congregation
Kehilat She'ar Yashuv, Dec. 30, 2000.This congregation is affiliated
with
Chosen People Ministries. Previous to that he was credentialed with the
Assemblies of God and Jews for Jesus. He left both of these ministries
in good
standing.
Henry served as a missionary with
Jews for Jesus. He was
also the co-director for the national youth program for Chosen people
ministries along side of Jay Bockish. He has traveled all over the world
as a
street evangelist training congregations and taking them out to their
mission
field by the hand if necessary. He is the founding Rabbi of congregation
Sha'ar
Hashamayim and has served there for 8 years growing this ministry from a
living
room to a full scale outreach to one of the most densely Jewish
populated areas
in the US.
Have
Rabbi Henry come and visit your congregation
Henry will be happy to come and
serve your congregation in
this area. He asks only that the congregations take care of his expenses
to get
there up front and take a love offering for his ministry when he is
there.
Please feel free to check out another side of his ministry, his comedy
CD. This
CD features religious parody like nothing you have ever heard before.
“Who else
can make fun of the religious world other than people on the inside?"
If you would like to have Rabbi
Henry come and share with
your Congregation on the Jewish roots of the faith, he is available.
Please
