shalom one and all:
I do pray you had a glorious Passover and resurrection celebration, not to be confused with the pagan holiday of Easter.
last letter I
have decided to finish this off with another and
make it a
trilogy. I was rather amazed with the difference in
response
this time as all of the letters I received were very
positive. I
am unable to get back to all of you at this time
because of
the shear numbers that wrote. But let me thank
you for
taking your time to consider the importance of the
topic. The
resurrection has been dealt with, by all too many
“Christians”,
as just another holiday. The refusal to do any
research on
their own is discouraging to say the least. This
shows the
lack of importance that has been placed on the
topic. Most
people who call themselves “Christian” know
only what
they have been taught and refuse to learn it for
themselves
by studying the word of God. This has got to stop
being the
norm for believers if we are to stand in the midst
of trial. We
must know what we believe first hand. So here
we go on the
last installment in this short series. If you
disagree
with what I have written then prove me wrong
scripturally
not by opinion or cliche. Happy reading.
This is what
we were called to do. Take a lamb and kill it at
twilight.
These are the only actual instructions we received
from God
concerning our Passover observance. Now, while
it is true
we have many things we do as part of our
celebration
we have to also see that Yeshua gave credibility
to many of
these rituals in luke 22. He not only gave
credibility
to them He showed that He was the ultimate fulfillment of them all.
Exo 12:5 'Your lamb shall be an
unblemished male a year old; you may take it from the sheep or from the
goats.
Exo 12:6 'You shall keep it until
the fourteenth day of the same month, then the whole assembly of the
congregation of Israel is to kill it at twilight.
Exo 12:7 'Moreover, they shall take
some of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and on the lintel of
the houses in which they eat it.
Lev 23:1 The LORD spoke again to
Moses, saying,
Lev 23:2 "Speak to the sons of
Israel and say to them, 'The LORD'S appointed times which you shall
proclaim as holy convocations--My appointed times are these:
Lev 23:3 'For six days work may be
done, but on the seventh day there is a sabbath of complete rest, a holy
convocation. You shall not do any work; it is a sabbath to the LORD in
all your dwellings.
Lev 23:4 'These are the appointed
times of the LORD, holy convocations which you shall proclaim at the
times appointed for them.
Lev 23:5 'In the first month, on
the fourteenth day of the month at twilight is the LORD'S Passover.
Lev 23:6 'Then on the fifteenth day
of the same month there is the Feast of Unleavened Bread to the LORD;
for seven days you shall eat unleavened bread.
Lev 23:7 'On the first day you shall
have a holy convocation; you shall not do any laborious work.
Lev
23:8 'But for
seven days you shall present an offering by fire to the LORD. On the
seventh day is a holy convocation; you shall not do any laborious work.
Num 28:16 'Then on the fourteenth day
of the first month shall be the LORD'S Passover.
Num 28:17 'On the fifteenth day of
this month shall be a feast,
unleavened bread shall be eaten
for seven days.
Num 28:18 'On the first day shall be a holy convocation; you shall
do no laborious work.
Num 28:19 'You shall present an
offering by fire, a burnt offering to the LORD: two bulls and one ram
and seven male lambs one year old, having them without defect.
Joh 19:14 Now it was the day of
preparation for the Passover; it was about the sixth hour. (12:00 pm)And
he *said to the Jews, "Behold, your King!"
Joh 19:15 So they cried out, "Away
with Him, away with Him, crucify Him!" Pilate *said to them,
"Shall I crucify your King?" The chief priests answered, "We have no
king but Caesar."
Joh 19:16 So he then handed Him over
to them to be crucified.
“Why have
you forsaken me?” “It is finished”. These are the
events
that lead up to the death burial and resurrection of
Yeshua.
Mat 27:46 About the ninth hour
(three o’clock) Jesus cried out with a loud voice,
saying, "ELI, ELI, LAMA SABACHTHANI?"
that is, "MY GOD, MY GOD, WHY HAVE YOU
FORSAKEN ME?"
Mar 15:34 At the ninth hour
Jesus cried out with a loud voice, "ELOI,
ELOI, LAMA SABACHTHANI?" which is translated, "MY GOD, MY GOD, WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME?"
Luk 23:44 It was now about the sixth
hour, and darkness fell over the whole land until the ninth hour,
Luk 23:45 because the sun was
obscured; and the veil of the temple was torn in two.
Luk 23:46 And Jesus, crying out with a
loud voice, said, "Father, INTO YOUR HANDS I
COMMIT MY SPIRIT." Having said this, He breathed His last.
Joh 19:30 Therefore when Jesus had
received the sour wine, He said, "It is
finished!" And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit.
Joh 19:31 Then the Jews, because it
was the day of preparation, so that the bodies would not remain on the
cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a high day), asked Pilate
that their legs might be broken, and that
they might be taken away.
He dies after 3 in the
afternoon before Passover and the
Shabbaton. The Shabbaton
was a special Shabbat declared
for that Holy day no
matter what day of the week it fell on.
Exo 12:16 'On the first day you shall
have a holy assembly, and another
holy assembly on the seventh day; no work at all shall be done on
them, except what must be eaten by every person, that alone may be
prepared by you.
He is in the grave 3 days
3 nights just like Jonah is in the
belly of the great fish.
This is a period of 72 hours.
Jon 1:17 And the LORD appointed a
great fish to swallow Jonah, and Jonah was in the stomach of the fish
three days and three nights.
This is how
Yeshua declared His resurrection as a
historical fact to come.
He compared His death, burial and
resurrection, to the life
of Jonah. He was not speaking
figuratively. He was
speaking prophetically.
Mat 12:38 Then some of the scribes
and Pharisees said to Him, "Teacher, we want to see a sign from You."
Mat 12:39 But He answered and said to
them, "An evil and adulterous generation
craves for a sign; and yet no sign will be given to it but the sign of Jonah
the prophet;
Mat 12:40 for
just as JONAH WAS THREE DAYS AND THREE NIGHTS IN THE BELLY OF THE SEA
MONSTER, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the
heart of the earth.
Mat 16:1 The Pharisees and Sadducees
came up, and testing Jesus, they asked Him to show them a sign from
heaven.
Mat 16:2 But He replied to them, "When it is evening, you say, 'It will be
fair weather, for the sky is red.'
Mat 16:3 "And
in the morning, 'There will be a storm today, for the sky is red and
threatening.' Do you know how to discern the appearance of the sky, but
cannot discern the signs of the times?
Mat 16:4 "An
evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign; and a sign will not
be given it, except the sign of Jonah." And He left them
and went away.
Luk 11:29 As the crowds were
increasing, He began to say, "This generation
is a wicked generation; it seeks for a sign, and yet no sign
will be given to it but the sign of Jonah.
Luk 11:30 "For just as Jonah became a sign to the Ninevites, so will the Son
of Man be to this generation.
Joh 2:18 The Jews then said to Him,
"What sign do You show us as your authority for doing these things?"
Joh 2:19 Jesus answered them, "Destroy this temple, and in three days I will
raise it up."
Joh 2:20 The Jews then said, "It
took forty-six years to build this temple, and will You raise it up in
three days?"
Joh 2:21 But He was speaking of the
temple of His body.
Joh 2:22 So when He was raised form
the dead, His disciples remembered that He said this; and they believed
the scripture and the word which Jesus had spoken.
Joh 2:23 Now when He was in
Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast, many believed in His name,
observing His signs which He was doing.
Act 10:38 "You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him
with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how
He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the
devil, for God was with Him.
Act 10:39 "We are witnesses of all
the things He did both in the land of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They
also put Him to death by hanging Him on a cross.
Act 10:40
"God raised Him up on the third day and granted that He
become visible,
When the women traveled they did it by night He had already
risen. He did not rise on a Sunday morning. That would have impossible
because as the scriptures above said He died before the high Shabbat of
that Passover.
Mat 28:1 Now after the Sabbath,
as it began to dawn toward the first day
of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to look at the
grave.
Mat 28:2 And behold, a severe
earthquake had occurred, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven
and came and rolled away the stone and sat upon it.
Mat 28:3 And his appearance was like
lightning, and his clothing as white as snow.
Mat 28:4 The guards shook for fear
of him and became like dead men.
Mat 28:5 The angel said to the
women, "Do not be afraid; for I know that you are looking for Jesus who
has been crucified.
Mat 28:6 "He is not here, for He
has risen, just as He said. Come, see the place where He was lying.
Mar 16:1 When the Sabbath was
over, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother
of James, and Salome, bought spices, so that they might come and anoint
Him.
Mar
16:2 Very
early on the first day of the week, they *came to the tomb when the
sun had risen.
Luk 24:1 But on the first day of
the week, at early dawn, they came to the tomb bringing the spices
which they had prepared.
Luk 24:2 And they found the stone
rolled away from the tomb,
Luk
24:3 but when
they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.
Joh 20:1 Now on the first day of the week Mary Magdalene *came
early to the tomb, while it *was still dark, and *saw the stone already taken away from the tomb.
The problem is that
everyone wants to have Yeshua rising
on the first day at
sunrise. This is not what the scripture
says. If He died in the
late afternoon before sunset at dusk
and rose 72 hours later
then it only makes sense that he
would have had to have
risen at the same time that he died.
The Jewish calendar is
based on the lunar cycle. It is not
like our calendar. The
new day begins at sundown, not after
12:00 midnight.
Gen 1:5 God
called the light day, and the darkness He called night. And there was evening and
there was morning, one day.
The scripture never says
anywhere He arose on the first day
of the week, it says he
arose on the third Day after his death.
The ladies arrived after
He was risen.
We know He had to arise
before Sunday am our Gregorian
calendar time. He was not
there when the ladies arrived.
It could not have been
any other time than on Saturday
late afternoon our time.
This would have put His
resurrection before the
end of the weekend Shabbat (not to
be confused with the
Passover Shabbaton). These are 2
different events.
Shabbat
celebrates that God created the earth in six days
and rested on the
seventh. The Shabbaton celebrates the
holy nature of the Holy
day and requires rest on whatever
day it falls. By rising
before the end of the Shabbat He
shows He is the Lord of
the Shabbat.
If we work backwards from
late afternoon Saturday 72 hrs
we have Him dying on Wed
afternoon before the Passover
and the Shabbaton. The
same time that the Passover lamb is slaughtered for the
nation of Israel. This proves He is the
fulfillment of all of the
prophecies and the final Passover
lamb. All you have to do
is work the math. It is not too Hard. There is no way under
God’s green earth he could have died on Friday and risen on
Sunday Am.
Once we take the resurrection
out of the specific context of
the Passover Yeshua can
no longer be the Passover lamb.
He can no longer be the
one who fulfills the events of the
Passover because the
perception is that the Passover is not
needed for the
resurrection to be a legitimate event.
No matter how you slice
it, it still all comes down to
replacement theology. Not
only are the Jews replaced by the
new people of the church
but it even stretches to the extent
of all of their holy days
which speak of Him. These Holy
days become replaced by
made up ones which have no
prophetic meaning at all.
Celebrating Easter mocks
the resurrection, as the critical
days that lead up to it
have been substituted by days made
up that have no
historical or prophetic credibility.
Celebrating Passover
reinforces the resurrection as it puts
those days back into
their historical and prophetic context.
This shows that we
understand the importance of God’s
moedim. The appointments
that Yeshua alone kept.
A blessed Passover.
A glorious prophesied and
fulfilled resurrection.
